About the event
BAAITS presents this special talk/platica with M. Zamora, Drumkeeper with the Wakan Wiya Two Spirit Drum. Using the form of the drum circle, Zamora will guide us through four rounds of prayers/intentions/dreams for the future of our Bay Area IndigeQueer community, family, and All Our Relations. Zamora will lead songs and palabra/prayers throughout, while sharing this time for testimonios from Two-Spirit, IndigeQueer and QTBIPOC drum family about Bay Area Two Spirit drumming circles, as well as our experiences in taking our drums to powwows, including the upcoming BAAITS Two-Spirit Powwow.
